Michael Fox is the founder of The Fox Law Practice, P.C. where he concentrates in the areas of corporate and real estate transactional matters, commercial contracts, mergers & acquisitions, general corporate and partnership law (including for emerging growth and start-up companies), and general business law, particularly as it relates to the retail and consumer products industry.
Michael brings to his clients a unique perspective having served in the role of General Counsel for the past 25 years at Orchard Supply Hardware, Jamba Juice, ProMost, and Sony Signatures before moving back to private practice in 2016. Michael’s experiences as a General Counsel helped him develop expertise in many legal disciplines, as well as providing the opportunity to work alongside colleagues at all levels and functions within an organization. These experiences taught him the importance of communication, a team approach, providing practical solutions to legal issues, and protecting against the unexpected. In private practice, Michael prides himself on using this knowledge and experience to help his clients achieve their goals in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Michael received his A.B. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1981 and his J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco in 1984. Michael is admitted to practice in California and Texas.
Michael has served on several non-profit Boards and is currently a Board member of the Northern California and Northern Nevada Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Michael enjoys golf, road biking, and spending time with family and friends. He was married in 1985, has three grown children, and very much enjoys his law practice and the clients he represents.
